Luis Suarez has always been accustomed to being regarded as one of modern day football's pantomime villain but the Barcelona man has now been voted by a huge chunk of fans as the greatest sporting villain of all time.
ESPN's 'Head in the Game' podcast called for fans to cast their votes and the fans have well and truly spoken, with Suarez taking the spot after his long list of antics including diving, his handball against Ghana, biting opponents and handing out racial abuse of Patrice Evra, to name just a few.
The top 10 list from the world of sport includes seven footballing personalities. After Luis Suarez topped the poll, Joey Barton, one of the most controversial players in English football, came in at second, while other serial villains such as Jose Mourinho, Diego Costa, Sergio Ramos, Diego Maradona and Roy Keane all were named in the list.

Only three sporting personalities came in from outside of football, namely David Warner from the sport of Cricket after his ball tampering scandal against South Africa last year, followed by boxing legends Floyd Mayweather and Mike Tyson.
Talking about Suarez, the Uruguayan leads this list because of the repetitiveness of his actions, mostly biting opponents. Over the course of his career, the Barcelona No.9 has shockingly stuck his teeth into three opponents, namely, Otman Bakkal, Branislav Ivanovic and Giorgio Chiellini.
