Barcelona's spokesman for the board Josep Vives has claimed that the club will not fall for the trap of publicly discussing Neymar's potential return to the Camp Nou.
Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser El-Khelaifi controversially stated that he was planning to rid of the celebrity culture at the club and that he was sick and tired of the player power that has been plaguing them. This statement stirred the rumour mill again, linking exciting stars Kylian Mbappe and Neymar to clubs like Barcelona and Real Madrid.
However, Josep Vives, who has acted as the board's voice plenty of times this summer has reiterated that the club will engage in the rumor or discuss and further about it.
"It's something we're not going to get into. Now, he is a PSG player and we do not have to talk," he said, via Marca.
"He's a PSG player and from there we don't talk about Neymar or anyone. It's PSG. We will not do it here."
Neymar has had a torrid time in 2018/19 with club and country, struggling to provide his influence for either due to injuries. The Brazilian superstar has missed out on the Copa America 2019 because of an ankle injury and is expected to be out for at least four weeks.
