Legendary AC Milan manager, Arrigo Sacchi has hailed Maurizio Sarri following his appointment as Juventus boss, claiming that, "the Italian is on the same level as Klopp, Guardiola and Pochettino".

Sarri who led his former club, Chelsea to the Europa League title in his one and only season at Stamford Bridge was eventually brought on to replace Max Allegri who departed after five-trophy laden years with the club.

Sacchi who is widely hailed as one of the best managers in the history of the sport, gave his backing to his fellow countryman, believing that he is the best choice for a club as powerful as Juventus.

“Sarri represents a revolutionary choice for Juve and a very important one, because Juventus have such history and so many fans. If they were to start playing slightly more audacious and modern football, it could really help the development of the Italian game in general," he said as quoted by Goal.

“Sarri is on the same level as Klopp, Guardiola and Pochettino. They have the exact same vision of the game and their work.”

The 60-year-old has a tough task ahead of him considering that Juve are looking to end their trophy drought in Europe, having last won the UEFA Champions League in 1996.
