Former Chelsea midfielder and manager Ruud Gullit has called Frank Lampard a great fit for the club ahead of his proposed move from Derby County

Current Blues manager Maurizio Sarri has been linked with an exit from the club, set to take over at Juventus in Italy following Massimiliano Allegri's departure which was announced earlier. While there are many top managers unemployed and available, like Jose Mourinho, Laurent Blanc and Allegri himself, Chelsea great Frank Lampard has been tipped as the favorite to be announced as the boss, following an excellent season in the Championship

"Lampard has done nothing yet as a coach." Gullit told Sky Sports News

"[Chelsea] gave me this opportunity as well, we won [a lot] so that [inexperience] has nothing to do with it. I think it's important for Chelsea that they have someone in charge they can relate to. I hope also they can get the right people around him who can help him."

"He must not make the mistake to get friends there, he has to make sure he gets some people there who have experience in managing and coaching teams. That will be the best thing for him."

The former West Ham United midfielder will face many a difficulty at the London club however, with a transfer ban for two windows making it impossible for them to replace departed talisman Eden Hazard.
