Colombian superstar, James Rodriguez who is surplus to requirements at Real Madrid is reportedly keen to reunite with former Bayern Munich and Los Blancos manager, Carlo Ancelotti at Napoli,

Rodriguez who's two-year loan spell at Bayern came to an end this season, was not deemed important enough by the club hierarchy to be signed on a permanent deal and with Real too not keen to see him return, it looks like a move to Italy would do him good.

The 27-year-old is currently contracted with the Los Blancos till June 2021 where he earns a neat 7m-a-year, but he would have to take a paycut if he moves to Napoli, who have reportedly launched a bid for him.

A move to Napoli is understood would do him a world of good, considering that it was under the Italian that he put on his best performances at the Bernabeu, scoring 17 goals and registering 18 assists in 46 games.

Despite a reported bid from Napoli, nothing has been accepted by Madrid as of now with it being unclear as to what his role will be at the club if he does stay at the Spanish capital. The attacking midfielder who moved to the Bernabeu amid much fanfare following the 2014 World Cup, has so far made 111 appearances for the club, scoring 36 times and winning one La Liga and two UEFA Champions League titles.
