Palace have already turned down United’s opening offer of around £40m for 21-year-old Wan-Bissaka and Metro report that the Red Devils are said to be already planning their next bid which will be in the region of £50m.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is a huge admirer of the young English defender and is said to be requesting United bosses to move closer to Palace’s £60m valuation of the player as he’s confident the defender has the ability to take over as Antonio Valencia’s replacement for the next 10 years.
Diogo Dalot, who is the only player United have in that position is yet to win his place in Solskjaer's XI which is why the Norwegian coach is showing so much interest in Wan-Bissaka.
According to The Sun, Wan-Bissaka has been left ‘frustrated’ by United’s rejected bid and is said to have told Palace that he’s desperate to secure a ‘dream’ move to Old Trafford. However, he is yet to issue a formal transfer request at Selhurst Park.
Meanwhile, it looks like United fans still have to wait for some time as their club needs to act quickly in this transfer window if they are to have any hopes of bettering their performance next season as compared to the disastrous one gone by.
