3 Managers who Could Replace the Potentially Outgoing Maurizio Sarri at Chelsea

Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has been linked with an exit from the club after reportedly falling out with the squad and not establishing a connection with the fans. A chaotic season of ups and downs has led to an excellent conclusion, as the ex-Napoli boss has presumably completed his objective of qualifying for the Champions League

Added to that, he has also ensured that the Blues reach the Carabao Cup final, losing to Manchester City in the final on penalties, and has taken them to the Europa League final against city rivals Arsenal to be played on the 30th of May.

Here are three candidates to replace the under-fire manager.

3. Laurent Blanc

Laurent Blanc is a manager who has been linked with the Blues job for years now. A calming presence in the dressing room, unlike the many volatile managers that Roman Abramovich has hired over the years, he can potentially turn around the disturbing situation among the fans and the players.

The ex-PSG boss has a proven league record and is known for his patient possession style of play which can help Chelsea with a transfer ban looming. The Frenchman was also linked with the job as early as February, when Sarri's head was potentially on the chopping block following a poor run of results.

2. Massimiliano Allegri

With Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri declaring his exit from the club after 5 successful seasons, every big team in Europe will be reconsidering the options they currently have. The Chelsea board also has a long history of appointing Italian managers, and a tactician like Allegri who can work with the resources he has will definitely be on their shortlist.

He has also been linked with the Blues in the past, and has declared that he will not be taking a sabbatical despite managing the stressful Bianconeri for 5 consecutive seasons.

1. Frank Lampard

Once a fan favourite as a player, Frank Lampard is now the odds-on favourite to replace the Italian at the helm of the club he spent 13 seasons in. The legendary midfielder is doing wonders with Derby County in the Championship, with the Rams one match away from achieving promotion to the Premier League.

With the Chelsea board impressed by his progress as a manager, we might get a sight of the ex-West Ham player at Cobham again in the summer.
