Neymar's first club Santos' president Jose Carlos Peres has dived into the speculation linking the player with Real Madrid and has openly revealed that he hopes to see the striker make the move to Los Blancos.

Real Madrid are up for a major re-building to be undertaken with Rodrygo already signed from Santos whereas Chelsea hitman Eden Hazard is on the verge of making the move to Santiago Bernabeu too.

And Peres has gone one step ahead and stated that he hopes Neymar joins the Spanish side as he told Marca, "I hope Neymar goes to Real Madrid, it would be the best place for him."

He continued, "He (Neymar) was totally wrong to leave Barcelona, he was still growing as a player. He hasn't done well since he left. I'm a follower of Real Madrid and it's a club that does things in a perfect way. If he gets the chance to wear the Real Madrid shirt, then he shouldn't think twice."

Furthermore, Peres spoke about Santos as a club and said, "We've had Pele and other great players, we used to play 60 or 70 friendly matches in Europe, but now we can't do it. The best players to come through here are Pele, Robinho, Neymar and now Rodrygo."

In conclusion, Peres said, "The best thing about this club is that we always play attacking football, looking to control our opponent; we can win again and we're the most internationally recognised Brazilian team."

The world's most expensive player will be available to buy for €170m as that is the release clause set by PSG, which will be kicking off next season.
