Premier League: Three Things to Look out for as Burnley Host Arsenal

Arsenal travel to Turf Moor to play Burnley in the final game of the Premier League season. The Gunners have an impossible task if they want to finish fourth, with their defeats in the last few weeks resulting in an almost insurmountable goal difference of eight between them and Tottenham Hotspur.

Here are three things to look out for in the Burnley vs Arsenal game.

3. Away form

Arsenal still have not found a solution for their away day problems in the league. However, they will need to ensure they win this last game of the season if they are to stay above Manchester United and in fifth place at the least. While top four chances are almost impossible, fifth place would be equally important as well.

2. No success over Arsenal

Burnley have had poor luck against Arsenal, having been beaten in their last nine games against the Gunners. In fact, the last Burnley beat Arsenal in a league game was way back in 1974. For the home team, there is not much to play for apart from determining their final league position. So it remains to be seen if they can end the losing run against Arsenal.

1. Champions League hopes

The only way Arsenal can qualify for the Champions League is if they have a big win and Spurs lose their game against Everton heavily. Although the odds of that happening are very slim, they still need to pick up a win to finish above Manchester United and avoid the possibility of having to play the Europa League qualifiers if Watford end up winning the FA Cup.
