Juventus' defeat at the hands of Ajax came as one of the biggest surprises of the UEFA Champions League this season.

The Bianconeri bowed down to a young Ajax side, who will now feature in the semi-final of Europe's biggest club competition this season.

Juventus' loss meant that Cristiano Ronaldo has not managed to reach the Champions League semi-final stage, something which hasn't happened since the year 2010.

The Old Lady signed Ronaldo for winning the Champions League after 23 long years but it looks like they will have to wait atleast another year for that to happen.

As revealed by a stat from ESPN FC, it's not a regular feeling for Ronaldo, who of course scored the Italian's goal in the match, as he's not been knocked out before the semi finals since 2010, when Real Madrid lost in the quarters to Lyon.

What's truly astonishing is since the last time he was knocked out at the quarter-final stage of the Champions League, Ronaldo has played 104 UCL games, won 71, scored an incredible 104 goals and provided 28 assists along with winning the whole competition a total of four times.
