European giants, Barcelona are preparing to launch a £100 million bid for Manchester United striker, Marcus Rashford as per the Dailymail, who report that the Catalan giants are looking for a long-term replacement for striker Luis Suarez.

Rashford, who has one more year left on his contract come the end of the season with United has impressed for them ever since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has taken over, with the club hierarchy keen to hold on to him, with it understood that that they are willing to offer him a new and improved contract which would keep him at Old Trafford till 2024.

United for their part will look to extend his contract by another 12 months in the summer and hope that a new deal worth £300,000-a-week going through to 2024 would be enough to entice the England international to pledge his future to them.

While reports suggest that Rashford himself is keen to extend his deal with United, that will not deter Barcelona who will try to tempt him into making a move to the Nou Camp once the transfer window opens at the end of the season.

For that to happen, they will need to offload some big name players, with it being understood that they will have to sell Philippe Coutinho for the Rashford deal to happen.
