Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri has hit back a critics by claiming that the Italian Serie A was easy only for those who don't win, after his team missed a chance to claim the title when they lost to SPAL.
The defending champions could have wrapped up their eighth league title in a row if they could have avoided defeat against SPAL, but Juventus succumbed to a shock 2-1 loss that pushed the inevitable a bit further.
Allegri, however, has hit back at critics following the loss to the newly promoted side and said that its not easy to play in the Serie A as people make it out to be.
"You win when you win," he said, according to Goal. "Today it's a shame because we lost, and when you lose you are a bit p****d off, especially after a good performance against a good SPAL.
"Now, let's see tomorrow, if Napoli wins, we'll wait until next Saturday. What matters most to us is to prepare as best as we can for Tuesday and get to the semi-final," he said, referring to second leg at home to Ajax.
"Because anyway in the league we only need one point if Napoli wins them all, if they don't, we don't even need a point. Then, since I hear that for Juventus the league is easy, well, the league is easy for those who don't win, but for those who win it's hard."
If Napoli do win against their game, then Juventus will indeed have to wait until next week to be confirmed as the Italian champions once again.
