Barcelona might have easily beaten Inter Milan 2-0 at the Camp Nou in the UEFA Champions League, but one particular incident involving Inter midfielder Marcelo Brozovic in the game definitely took all the attention away from the actual result.
In the second half, Luis Suarez had a great chance to extend Barcelona's lead with a free-kick from the edge of the penalty area. The Uruguayan decided to trick Inter's wall by drilling a shot from below their feet when they jumped thinking the attempt would made from over the wall.
However, Marcelo Brozovic possible came up with what could most definitely be a revolutionary decision taken by a player to defend a free-kick for his team. The Croatian slid along the ground behind the ball and was successful in deflecting the ball behind for a corner instead of it ending up in his team's goal.
Such was the impact of that decision that even an injured Lionel Messi was captured having a chuckle from the stands.
Social media was bound to go crazy at this incident, and it did. Here are the best reactions...

That's how to defend the under-the-wall free-kick ✅
Marcelo Brozovic had done his homework this week... pic.twitter.com/SvQPBVtqCq
The whole 'hiding behind a wall' thing that Marcelo Brozovic supposedly invented last night has gone on for ages.... just usually referees stop players from doing it.— TomSweeney (@TCGSweeney13) October 25, 2018
Marcelo Brozovic is not the first player to play that tactics in defending freekick. With these pictures you will see that the tactics is not a Brozovic invention. pic.twitter.com/Z3CQdiXQet— BIG17 (@bolakale_bb) October 25, 2018
We're living in 2018 but Marcelo Brozovic living in 3018 😵— Abdifatah Wehlie (@Wehlie_wehlie) October 25, 2018

I have never seen this in my entire life. Marcelo Brozovic with the instinctive reaction to get down and block the low driven FK by Luis Suarez with his bum 😂😂😂😂 pic.twitter.com/QZ6xkgNyh6— Ebo Amissah Aggrey (@Ebo_AA) October 24, 2018
