For a huge number of football fans around the world, Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi is the greatest footballer in the history of the beautiful game, but the Argentinian maestro himself chooses to keep his feet on the ground.
Messi recently spoke about how he feels when he is called the best player in the world and stressed that he believes every player is equal at kick-off.
In an interview with Paper Magazine, Messi said, "I don't consider myself the best, I think I am just another player. On the field, we are all the same when the game begins."
As part of the interview, the magazine got Messi, who is an animal lover, to pose with goats. He said, "I am a big fan of animals. I grew up with them and they have taught me many things. Now we have our dog Hulk, who really is part of the family, we always include him. Our children learn so much from Hulk. The love shown between him and the kids and the kids and him is constant."
Lionel Messi will lead his country Argentina at the FIFA World Cup in Russia in June, where the Barcelona man believes his country are not the favourites to win the trophy.
