Barcelona are reportedly willing to end their association with at least eight players this summer as they look to oversee a huge squad overhaul this summer following a disappointing campaign despite winning the Spanish La Liga.
Barcelona looked set to go all the way in the UEFA Champions League last season, more so after taking a 3-0 lead in the semi-final against Liverpool, however, they choked at Anfield and were knocked out in sensational fashion.
The Spanish champions were also beaten in the Copa del Rey final by Valencia last month in a defeat that almost cost manager Valverde his job.
After such a season, Mirror are now reporting that a total of 11 players have been deemed surplus to requirements at Barcelona and the club have reportedly made it clear to them that they will have to seek new clubs.

Thomas Vermaelen, Jeison Murillo and Kevin-Prince Boateng are all out of contract at the Nou Camp this summer and look set to leave.
Spanish publication Marca hand out further eight names of players that are surplus to requirements at the Catalan club. Those out-of-favour players are Jasper Cillessen, Nelson Semedo, Samuel Umtiti, Ivan Rakitic, Andre Gomes, Denis Suarez, Malcom and Philippe Coutinho.
Out of the above, Rakitic is wanted by Manchester United and while Valverde wants to keep hold of the Croatian, Barca club chiefs are willing to part ways with the midfielder.
