Former Crystal Palace star John Salako has claimed that full back Aaron Wan-Bissaka is not yet ready for a move to Manchester United, and implored the youngster to take heed of Wilfried Zaha's experience.

Wan-Bissaka has been linked with a move to United, with the club reportedly already making a couple of bids for the player that were rejected. Zaha was another Crystal Palace player who had moved to Manchester United as a youngster but had to return after a rough time there.

Salako, who played nearly a decade for Crystal Palace, has suggested that Wan-Bissaka is not yet ready for such a big move and should learn from the mistakes made by Zaha.

"You want young talent. He's got the world at his feet. But my only concern is that we had Wilfried Zaha leave at a young age and he didn't cope," he told Love Sport Radio"He wasn't mature enough and didn't really settle in at Man United. He ended up coming back and has had the best spell of his career since he came back. He's obviously another one linked with moving away but I'm just a bit concerned with Aaron.

"It's been his first full season and it's been absolutely magnificent. He couldn't have been lying in bed and dreamt of a better debut season. He probably needs more games. It's too early for Aaron. He needs another season. I'm not surprised United have come in because they could probably get him cheaper and they think they need to do something now."

It remains to be seen if that will indeed be the case or if Palace will succumb to the pressure from United and sell him at a huge profit, an opportunity they may not get if he cannot replicate the good season he has had.
