Paris Saint-Germain superstar, Kylian Mbappe reportedly blames managed Thomas Tuchel for falling behind Barcelona superstar, Lionel Messi in the race for the European Golden Shoe.

The 20-year-old recently created a storm when he revealed that he "wants to be given more responsibility" at PSG or another club, thus putting the top European clubs like Real Madrid on high alert.

According to Spanish publication, Marca, his comments at the recent Ligue 1 awards were understood to be aimed at manager, Thomas Tuchel as he feels that the German scuppered his chances of winning the Golden Shoe by leaving him out for the league games against Strasbourg and Nantes in April.

Mbappe currently has 32 goals to his name in the league, the highest in Ligue 1 and 10 higher than second placed, Nicolas Pepe, but is currently four goals behind Messi who ended his season with 36 goals to his name in the La Liga.

The striker needs four goals to tie with Messi and five to overtake him when PSG take on Stade Reims in the final game of the season, but that looks unlikely at the moment. The Argentinian superstar looks the favourite to retain his crown, and add to the record sixth Pichichi award he won recently.
