Barcelona superstars, Luis Suarez and Gerard Pique are reportedly unhappy with the way the club hierarchy are hyping up striker Antoine Griezmann's probable transfer to the Nou Camp in the summer.

The Frenchman who recently informed Atletico Madrid that he will be leaving the club after five-years has a release clause of 200 million which would reduce to 120m on July 1st. His availability has alerted a number of top European clubs who are keen to sign the striker in the summer transfer window.

However, according to Diario Gol, Barcelona are understood to be in the driving seat to sign Griezmann, though the two club stalwarts are said to be against the deal as they are not happy with the wages that the 28-year-old would receive if he were to make the move.

The World Cup winner is set to earn around 25m-a-year which is four more than what he earned at Atletico, with both Suarez and Pique believing that Griezmann is not good enough to warrant such excessive wages which would make him the third highest earner in the squad.

It is also understood that a number of officials are embarrased by the way Griezmann treated their interest last summer and have not been impressed with the way he engineered his exit from Atletico.

Griezmann is without a doubt one of the best strikers in the world at present and would strengthen any club that he decides to move to.
