Atletico Madrid striker Antoine Griezmann is on the verge of signing for FC Barcelona in a deal that could see him remain with the Catalan giants until 2024.

Trusted French outlet L'Equipe have revealed important figures which represent the potential deal that has been struck between the Frenchman and FC Barcelona.

Spanish outlet AS quote figures from L'Equipe and stated that Griezmann will pocket a salary of 17 million euro per season as part of a five year deal with the current league champions.

In return for this five year deal at Barcelona, Griezmann is said to be bracing for a reduction in his salary, thus taking a hit of six million euros per campaign from his current 23 million at Atletico Madrid.

The 28-year-old forward's release clause which is currently set at 200 million euro will drop down to 120 million starting July 1, thus  making his signing a possibility a viable option for Barcelona this summer.

L'Equipe add that talks between both sides advanced following Atletico Madrid's Champions League elimination in Turin at the hands of Juventus and that lawyers from both sides reached a heads of agreement mid March.
