World famous data analyst Nate Silver has predicted on who has the better chance of winning the ​Champions League final between ​Liverpool and ​Tottenham HotspurAccording to his website, the ​Five Thirty Eight project, the Reds have a 71% chance of winning the continental title in Madrid. 


Silver was named one of the world's 100 most influential people after correctly calling the outcomes of the 2008 and 2012 US elections but his background is actually sports data modelling.



The Merseyside outfit qualified for the final by beating La Liga champions ​Barcelona 4-3 on aggregate, inclusive of a miraculous second leg comeback after being 3-0 down in the first leg at the Camp Nou. Jurgen Klopp's side are in their second consecutive Champions League final, having been beaten by ​Real Madrid 3-1 in the 2017/18 version. 


The North London club on the other hand, went through to the final after a last second winner against Ajax, drawing 3-3 on aggregate, but qualifying courtesy of three away goals, a hattrick from Brazilian winger Lucas Moura.
