Manchester United have appeared rejuvenated ever since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer replaced Jose Mourinho as manager of the Red Devils, with fans elated at his stewardship, even going on to sing, "Ole is at the Wheel", their version of Waterfall by Stone Roses, at their games.

However, Barcelona have now appeared to have taken a dig at United following their 3-0 thrashing of the Premier League side in the second leg of the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League.

The Catalan giants took to social networking site, Instagram to post an image of their talisman Lionel Messi, following his brace, with the caption reading, “Messi at the wheel”. The post it has seemed has been lauded by fans, with the post being liked over 600,000 times so far.

Courtesy of Messi, Barcelona have now qualified for the semifinals of the competition for the first time since 2015, after falling at the last-8 hurdle for three consecutive seasons. They no doubt go into the semis as the favourites, considering that they the 31-year-old in their ranks, with the Argentinian in brilliant form so far.

Messi has so far netted 45 goals in just 42 appearances and will be key if the club are to win the Champions League this season.
