Napoli winger Amin Younes has expressed his admiration for the effectiveness with which Juventus play their game as they get closer to a record eighth consecutive Serie A title, even if their game is not the most beautiful to watch.

The champions have lost only one league game all season so far, and are on track to successfully defend their title once again. They are also battling to win the Champions League  this season, having bought Cristiano Ronaldo for that purpose.

The Partenopei are in second place in the league standings, and Younes’ team will concede the title to Juventus if they fail to win against Chievo on Sunday.

The winger's comments are particularly striking, especially considering the fact that his team have dropped unnecessary points throughout the season.

“Results like the draws against Chievo or Sassuolo were completely unnecessary. Juventus might have been a bit more clever than us this season," the German international told Goal and Spox.

"Their football is not beautiful but effective. With players like Cristiano [Ronaldo], [Giorgio] Chiellini or [Mario] Mandzukic they have a lot of experience and also huge mental strength.”

Irrespective of what Napoli does, Juventus will be crowned champions if they can win their game against SPAL. Once they can get that done, they will have the luxury of resting their star players and concentrate on winning the Champions League.
