Portugal national team's coach Fernando Santos has played down all brewing comparisons between Cristiano Ronaldo and Joao Felix by stating that both players are completely different from one another.

AS quote Santos' interview by O Jogo in which the coach answered the question comparing Ronaldo and Felix. He said, "They're both players blessed with great qualities but they're completely different. There are certain players - the chosen few, who get called for the senior national side when they are just 16, 17 or 18 years old but they are isolated cases - such as Futre, Chalana, Cristiano..."

Santos continued, "Those kinds of players have a great deal of quality - if they didn't, they wouldn't get into the national team at that age. All of the players who are with the national team have enormous talent. However, you can't compare things which are not comparable. They (Ronaldo and Felix) have very different characters - both have great qualities but they're very different".

Felix, who plays for Benfica has attracted huge attention from some of Europe's top clubs including reigning European champions Real Madrid. His recent form led him to being called up for the Portuguese senior national football team but he hasn't been able to make his debut yet because of an injury.
