Real Madrid superstar Gareth Bale's agent has confirmed that the winger has no plans to leave the club in the summer, even going on to reveal that the Welshman wants to retire at the Bernabeu.

The 29-year-old has endured a difficult last few months at the Spanish capital with the fans unhappy with his performances on the pitch, while his teammates in particular Thibaut Courtois  not too enamoured with his behaviour off the field.

This has led to rumours of an impending move in the summer, but his agent Jonathan Barnett has denied such reports, claiming that Bale is happy at his current club.

"He wants to play all his career for Real Madrid and if it does not work out, we will talk again. He will talk with Mr [Zinedine] Zidane, take it from there and then see at the end of the season," he said as quoted by Goal.

The Welshman who moved to Madrid from Tottenham Hotspur in 2013 for a then world record transfer fee has registered some impressive numbers, despite injuries hampering his career. He has scored 101 goals in 223 appearances for Madrid, helping them win one La Liga, one Copa del Rey and four UEFA Champions League titles.
