5. PL Teams ruling Europe
Manchester City, Liverpool, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur have qualified for the quarter-finals of the Champions League and this is the first time since 2008-09 that all four teams from the Premier League have reached the last eight.
4. Milner is the assist king in the UCL
Liverpool midfielder James Milner has been impressive in the Champions League and since the start of last season he has registered 10 assists in the competition, the most by any player from all teams.
3. Messi has been brilliant for over a decade
Barcelona talisman Lionel Messi has scored 35 or more goals for his club in each of his last 11 seasons. This number just goes to show the level of consistency and brilliance of the Argentinian legend.
2. Neuer reaches the century mark in UCL
Bayern Munich goalkeeper Manuel Neuer recently reached 100 appearances in the Champions League, with the star becoming the fourth German to reach the mark in the competition.
He joins Philipp Lahm (112), Thomas Muller (105) and Oliver Kahn (103) on the list.
1. Messi only behind Xavi
Lionel Messi has now made 131 appearances for Barcelona in the Champions League. The striker went past Andres Iniesta and is only behind Xavi (151) in the appearance stakes for the club in the competition.
