City and Liverpool are level on points at the top of the table, with Pep Guardiola's men are ahead on goal difference. Liverpool though have a game in hand and could re-establish their three point lead when they face Manchester United on the 24th of February.
Silva admitted that he would love it if the Reds lose points, while confirming that City are only focusing on themselves.

“To drop Bernardo right now is almost impossible. It's him and 10 more players right now. I don’t know what happens at the end, but for what he’s done so far - every single game he's been perfect.” #MCFC pic.twitter.com/CjG4Ul8biB
"Of course it is better if they lose some points. but I think all of us, not only the manager, but all of the players, have been saying to focus on our job. If we don't win our games, it doesn't matter what they do, so that is the most important thing now," he said as quoted by fourfourtwo.
City for their part have been in brilliant form over the past two weeks, winning three consecutive games, with striker Sergio Aguero leading them to two wins with hat-tricks over Arsenal and Chelsea.
They will look to continue their form as they head into the business end of the season, with City next scheduled to face Newport County on Saturday, the 16th of February.
