Former Liverpool midfielder Jamie Redknapp believes that Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku is the only Manchester United player that has not improved since the arrival of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Old Trafford.
The Red Devils have won 10 of their last 11 fixtures under Solskjaer, but Lukaku has struggled to make a huge impact under the Norwegian.
The former Everton man has only managed to score eight Premier League goals this season and is struggling to attain a starting spot in Solskjaer's XI owing to Marcus Rashford's mercurial rise at the Theatre of Dreams.
Metro quote Redknapp's interview with Sky Sports as he said, "One player that perhaps hasn’t had that little bit of luck is Romelu Lukaku. It will come with Lukaku but he’s the one that hasn’t really perhaps responded to Ole because he’s not been given a chance."
Redknapp concluded by stating, "I think he was injured when he [Solskjaer] first came. Everyone else has gone flying. You can see that it may take time or it might not happen for him at all. It might not because the pace that Man United play with at the moment would enable people like [Marcus] Rashford and [Jesse] Lingard. They look better in the team than he does."
The in-form Red Devils will now prepare to take on Paris Saint-Germain in the round-of-16 clash in the UEFA Champions League.
