Indian Super League's defending champions Chennaiyin FC might have hit a masterstroke after completing a double coup of CK Vineeth and Halicharan Narzary from their south Indian rivals Kerala Blasters.
This move comes in the wake of Chennaiyin's AFC Cup ambitions to come ahead in the season. Both these players have not been in the best of forms this season but will hope that a fresh start will bring good news for them and their club.
Chennaiyin FC have faced crazy issues with regards to the form of their forward line this season in the ISL with Jeje out of form and Carlos Salom having scored just one goal in 11 games.
The move for Vineeth, especially, hands the player a huge change to resurrect his career after being ignored at Kerala Blasters when David James led the side.
The man from Kerala has struck only two goals in 585 minutes of football this season which might be concerning but one can never tell what impact a new signing can have to a team.
Another player that Chennaiyin have swooped from the Blasters is Halicharan Narzary.
