The German champions have been interested in the youngster, especially after the impact that fellow Englishman Jadon Sancho has had at Borussia Dortmund.
The Blues were initially not interested in selling the player but have not been able to give him the requisite minutes in the first team that he wanted.
As per Daily Mail, they were reluctant to sell to Bayern without the insertion of buy-back and sell-on clauses, and the German club too were not keen on having those clauses added to the deal.

Even Chelsea head coach Maurizio Sarri had said that he wanted to keep the youngster at the club and even went so far as to suggest that Bayern should be investigated by FIFA for the way they conducted themselves during the saga.
However, Hudson-Odoi had reportedly also made it known that he does not want to stay with the club anymore, because of the lack of game time, and would very much like to move to Germany.
One of the main reasons Chelsea don’t want to let the youngster go is because they also have a depleted forward line and the youngster would have been great in their setup for the rest of the season.
It remains to be seen if Callum Hudson-Odoi will remain at Chelsea or will actually make the move to Germany.
