Sancho moved from Manchester City to Dortmund in the summer in search of first team action, and since then has made a name for himself. He has six goals and seven assists to his name, in the 17 Bundesliga games he has played so far this season.
The Dortmund man spoke highly of Hudson-Odoi and was even open to the idea of him joining Dortmund, rather than league rivals Bayern Munich, as is currently rumoured.
According to Goal, when asked if Hudson-Odoi could join Dortmund, Sancho said, “I could try speak to him!”
Dortmund starlet Sancho sends a warning to Hudson-Odoi: 'Coming to Germany is not easy!'https://t.co/vyuRFKNPLq— Chelsea Live (@chelsea90live) January 11, 2019
“Everyone has different pathways... coming to Germany is not easy. People might think it's easy because I'm doing so well, but it's not easy at all.
“You have to have a strong mentality. Focus, sacrifice a lot of things like family – that's a very hard thing to do.”
Both Hudson-Odoi and Sancho were part of the England U-17 team that won the World Cup in India in 2017, and so Sancho is aware what qualities the Chelsea youngster can bring to the team.
Sancho has already made his senior debut on the back of his good performances with Dortmund and credits his experience with the German side for his calmness on debuting at the Wembley Stadium.
“When I came on at Wembley I was relaxed. I didn't know anyone there when I was playing. Dortmund has really helped me.
“Playing for England is something I'll never forgot, I need to thank Dortmund for that. Without this opportunity I wouldn't have made my debut.”
