Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo Lloris firmly believes that his side is capable enough to beat FC Barcelona at the Camp Nou despite the rich vein of form Lionel Messi is in at the moment.

The Lillywhites have to beat Barcelona on Tuesday in the UEFA Champions League in order to guarantee their place in the last 16 of the competition.

Standing in front of them could be a modern day footballing god who has already scored 17 goals in 17 games this season. However, Messi's involvement in this game is dicey as Barcelona have already confirmed qualification and top spot in their group.

However, Lloris believes that the Argentinean maestro will feature on Tuesday. In his interview with Sky Sports, the French captain stated, "I think it is always a special game to play against Barcelona at the Nou Camp. It is a special place, it is true we will be playing against one of the best players in history."

He continued, "It will not be easy but I think the most important thing is to believe in our chance to go through. We will play 100 per cent with the belief that we can do it."

The World Cup winner then went on to stated, "I think it is difficult to stop a player like Leo Messi but if we can do it is only as a team. We will need a strong performance, individually obviously, but mainly as a team."

He concluded by revealing what his team needs to do in order to beat Barcelona as he said, "For sure tomorrow we will have opportunities to score. We have to be efficient in both areas, offensively and defensively."
