3 Things to Look Out for as FC Goa Visit Rejuvenated FC Pune City in the ISL

Tuesday evening's Indian Super League action will see FC Pune City host FC Goa  at the Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex Stadium in Pune.

The Gaurs enjoyed almost two-weeks off action and are expected to be in perfect condition ahead of this clash. The Stallions, on the other hand will be raring to go after tasting victory against Kerala Blasters in their previous game.

Here are three things to look forward to from this clash...

3. Marcelinho and Hume vs Bedia and Corominas

In what looks like a mouthwatering clash of strikers and attacking midfielder, FC Pune City and FC Goa will be fighting to determine which squad has a better attacking unit.

Pune consists of Marcelinho and Iain Hume up front. A duo who could be devastating when in the mood. FC Goa on the other hand, have Ferran Corominas and Edu Bedia, both of whom have been at the heart of everything that has been good for the Gaurs this season.

Hence a battle between these players on an individual level on the field is something that will be worth watching.

2. Both teams almost equal in head-to-head record

Both these teams have consistently been a mid-table club in the Indian Super League. This could be one reason why all their games have been pretty entertaining.

Talking about their head-to-head record, FC Pune City and FC Goa have played nine games in the ISL against each other with the Gaurs winning four as compared to the Stallions' three, while two games have ended as draws.

Additionally, Goa have also scored more goals than Pune, 15 as compared to the Stallions' 10. Easy to say that both these teams' games go down to the wire.

1. Clash of highest goalscoring attack and highest goal-conceding defence

Tonight's clash will see FC Goa, who have scored the most number of goals in the ISL this season (22) among all teams take on FC Pune City, who have conceded the joint most number of goals in the campaign (21 joined with Chennaiyin FC).

This particular stat itself is enough to evaluate the chances of Pune claiming all three points tonight.

Probable line-ups:

FC Pune City: Kamaljit Singh (GK), Ashutosh Mehta, Matt Mills, Martin Diaz, Sarthak Golui, Adil Khan, Jonathan Vila, Ashique Kuruniyan, Iain Hume, Marcelo Pereira, Robin Singh
