German champions Bayern Munich are reported to have acted quickly and offered former Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane the managerial position at the club starting next season.

Zidane's future is still a topic of discussion in the media since he left Real Madrid after winning the Champions League last season.

The 46-year-old legend has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United too considering Jose Mourinho's side's uncertain season up till now.

Zidane was also reported to be offered a technical directorial role at Juventus after he decided to part ways with Real Madrid, however no progress was made on that front.

Sportsbible quote OKDIARIO's Eduardo Inda in revealing that the Bavarians have tracked Zidane since his departure from Los Blancos and believe he is the right man to replace Niko Kovac, who is visibly crumbling under pressure.

The Bundesliga champions believe that they have the perfect project for Zidane and have contacted the French legend already. Bayern is now said to be waiting for Zidane's reply to find out if he is indeed interested in their prospect.

The reigning champions of Germany find themselves in third place in Bundesliga standings after losing to league leaders Borussia Dortmund 3-2 last weekend. As a result, Bayern find themselves in third position on the Bundesliga table, seven points behind Dortmund.
