Manchester City starlet Phil Foden has named Barcelona star Lionel Messi and club teammate David Silva as two players he looks up to, while also revealing that he would love to emulate the Spaniard at City in the future.
The 18-year-old received his first call-up to the England Under-21 side recently with the midfielder looked upon as one of the best talents in the country, with many believing that he has it in him to become a potential great.
"David Silva, because I've seen him come through at City. He's been a great player for us and I've really enjoyed watching him (When asked who his biggest inspiration is). I watch him closely, he's a great player and someone I want to be like in the future.

"Probably him and Lionel Messi. I'm my own player, but they are great players. They have great characters, the show that on the pitch, and impress me every time they play," he added.
A graduate of the City youth academy, Foden burst on to the scene with his performances at the FIFA Under-17 World Cup last year in India, where he won the Golden Ball award. His skill and talent has impressed Pep Guardiola who gave him his senior debut in 2017, with the midfielder making 15 appearances for the club so far.
