​While ​Alexandre Lacazette, Aaron Ramsey and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang stole the show in ​Arsenal's thumping 5-1 win over Fulham, one player that caught the fans' attention the most was defensive midfielder Lucas Torreira.


After his impressive performance, fans took to social media and some even compared him to the highly rated Chelsea star N'Golo Kante.


The 22-year-old Uruguayan ran the show for the Gunners throughout the game, which enabled the forwards to find more freedom to go on and bag goals for fun. Against Fulham, Torreira made six interceptions, only one less than the whole Arsenal team combined in 90 minutes.


After the game, coach Unai Emery specifically pointed out Torreira's performance as he said, "He’s very young, it's his first season here at this level but he was playing in Italy which is a very hard competition also. He is playing also with his national team, against big teams. He is playing today in the middle, then right in the 4-4-2 and his performance is the same."

With their thumping win over Fulham, Unai Emery's Arsenal have now won six out of their eight Premier League games and are fourth on the Premier League table, ahead of Tottenham on goal difference.
