Picking the Best Potential Watford Lineup to Face Bournemouth on Saturday

Javi Gracia’s Watford will be looking to bounce back after their second defeat of the season last weekend, as they host fellow Premier League high flyers Bournemouth in the Premier League on Saturday.

Having been forced to make a change to his starting lineup for the first time this season through injury, the Watford head coach isn’t expected to tamper with his starting XI this time round.

Watford currently sit in 13th place in the league table, but face a strong Cherries side level on points with the Hornets.

With all that in mind, here is how Watford could lineup to face Bournemouth on Saturday.

1. Goalkeeper & Defenders

Ben Foster (GK) – The veteran shot stopper has been outstanding between the sticks for the Hornets this season and will feature for Javi Gracia’s side against the Cherries on Saturday.

Marc Navarro (RB) – With Daryl Janmaat ruled out for six weeks after a knee operation, the 23-year-old is likely to make his second start of the season this weekend.

Christian Kabasele (CB) – Despite his red card against Tottenham Hotspur in the EFL Cup, the Belgian featured against Arsenal last weekend after his dismissal was overturned and will feature furthermore against Bournemouth.

Craig Cathcart (CB) – The 29-year-old Northern Ireland international has developed a strong centre back partnership with Kabasele – one that doesn’t look like changing any time soon.

Jose Holebas (LB) – With one goal and four assists, the Greek full back has been one of many stars in the Hornets side this season and will feature on Saturday.

2. Midfielders

Roberto Pereyra (LM) – The 27-year-old versatile midfielder has scored three goals so far this campaign, and will take his place on the left side of the Hornets midfield against Bournemouth.

Etienne Capoue (CM) –The former French international will be looking to continue his run of games this weekend and control the middle of park throughout the weekends clash.

Abdoulaye Doucoure (CM) – Despite a lower goal tally than this point last season, the Frenchman will most definitely feature against the Cherries.

Will Hughes (RM) – The 23-year-old Englishman has excelled in his new look role on the right side of midfield set up and will retain his place in the Hornets side.

3. Forwards

Troy Deeney (ST) - The Watford captain has shown his power and knowledge of the game in recent weeks and will be leading the Hornets out for the eighth time this season.

Andre Gray (ST) – The 27-year-old front man has bagged three goals this season, and will slot in alongside Deeney.
