The Argentinian Football Association and all of it's players have been accused of smuggling after customs officers seized control of a huge number of players' as well as staff's undeclared items at the airport.

The Albiceleste returned home recently after playing two friendly games against Guatemala and Colombia in the United States.

AS report that the items that were confiscated were valued at around 20,000 euros. The products included in the investigation were electrical goods, toys and musical instruments among others.

The report goes on to mention that all of these items were not declared by the players and staff when they touched down in Argentina.

Meanwhile, the Argentinian tax authorities confirmed that they have forwarded the matter on to the public prosecutor’s office for economic crimes, which will decide what happens with the seized goods.

The Argentinian national team played two games during the international break. Interim coach Lionel Scaloni's side beat Guatemala 3-0 on September 8 before playing a 0-0 draw against Colombia on September 12.
