Italian football legend Andrea Pirlo has admitted that he would not be overly surprised to see Paul Pogba leave Manchester United in favour of a return back to Juventus.

Pogba's future still remains in doubt at Old Trafford with suggestions of a fallout between him and Jose Mourinho. However, the Frenchman has refused to rule out a move away from his club as of now.

Speaking about Pogba's situation to Tuttosport, 39-year-old Pirlo said, "It would not surprise me because Juventus is looking for the best and if one player goes away it is not said that they cannot return.”

Additionally, Pirlo was also questioned about his thoughts on Juventus' incredible signing of Cristiano Ronaldo in the summer transfer window.

The World Cup winner replied, "At the beginning, I thought it was just a rumour but after that, I called Paratici and he confirmed me that the club was negotiating. I congratulated him, Marotta and President Agnelli."

Speaking specifically about Ronaldo, Pirlo concluded, "He (Ronaldo) needs no help, he is a phenomenon who is always working hard. Who knows he may score 10 goals in the next five games.”

Manchester United and Juventus are set to return to league action this weekend after the international break. Jose Mourinho's men take on Watford in the Premier League whereas Allegri's army take on Sassuolo in the Serie A with both games to be played on Sunday.
