La Liga giants Atletico Madrid are all set to put pen-to-paper on a partnership with Jamshedpur FC, if a report in Hindi publication Jagran are to be believed.

In an article published by the reputed newspaper, it has been reported that the club will provide not only technical support and facilities, but also help the Indian Super League outfit in appointing coaches.

There had previously been chatter of the two clubs forming a partnership but nothing substantial had come out after that.

The modus operandi is expected to be the same as way it was with ATK, with whom the Spanish side had a partnership that existed from 2014 to 2017. However, ahead of season five of the ISL, their tie-up came to an end.

Ever since that partnership ended, Atletico have been on a constant lookout for another tie-up as the club was not willing to give up on the Indian football market. If this tie-up is successful, young children from ages 3-12 will receive exposure to world-class European academies.

This report comes just a day after the Rojiblancos announced that they had opened an academy in Israel in partnership with Hapoel Be'er Sheva.

As reported by sources within the club, the announcement of the tie-up will take place very soon. With this tie-up, a Spanish coach will take charge of the club this season. The club are also very keen on signing a star Spanish striker.
