Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre Ter Stegen has urged the Catalan giants to sign Thiago from Bayern Munich in the summer and bring him back to the club. The midfielder who left the Nou Camp to join Bayern Munich in 2013 is reportedly keen to make a move away from the club.

Despite moving away from Barcelona, Thiago is highly rated among the club management who believed he is a heir to Xavi and has the necessary skill and talent to anchor their midfield. Ter Stegen too believes that he would be a perfect player to replace Andres Iniesta who left the club at the end of the season.

“I would like to see Thiago at Barcelona. His style of play would fit in with us because of learning his football here and he obviously has the quality at this level of football. Thiago is a fantastic player and would fit into our squad, I’m sure he would be open to a move back here and it would be special for us and for him if it happened," Ter Stegen said as quoted by Football Espana.

The 27-year-old has struggled with injuries during his time in Germany but has impressed whenever he has been fit. The midfielder has 151 appearances in all competitions for the German giants, helping them win five Bundesliga titles.
