After winning the recently-concluded four-nation International tournament in Serbia, Under-16 Indian football team coach, Bibiano Fernandes, has set his eyes on going all the way in the AFC U-16 finals in Malaysia.

The head coach did not want to read too much into the team's recent success, claiming that his boys haven't achieved anything yet.

"It actually doesn't mean much as this is only the process for our main objective. We haven't yet achieved anything much, Bibiano told AIFF, as quoted by News18. But yeah, I am very happy that the boys are showing great focus and hunger in the process. Our main target is the AFC U-16 Finals Malaysia 2018."

"The boys are growing in the right direction, but we've got a long way to go. There are so many aspects on which we need to improve tactically. These exposure tours making the boys more confident and capable," he concluded.

India defeated Jordan (2-1) and Tajikistan (4-2), both of whom have also qualified to the AFC U-16 finals, and were held to a goalless draw by hosts, Serbia. The performance against Tajikistan, specifically, was very impressive, as they managed to scored three goals in just 10 minutes to win the game away.

The AFC U-16 Finals will take place between September 20 to October 7, in Malaysia.
