Chennaiyin FC host FC Goa in the second leg of the Indian Super League semi-final at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium. There was nothing to separate the two sides when these two met back in Goa, but tonight, there has to be a winner.
Here, we take a look at three things to look ahead of the 8 PM kick-off.
3. Slow Start
Slow starts have been a trend in this year's Hero Indian Super League. For the most part, we have seen patchy football from in the first half, with the pace picking up in the second half.
In the first leg, we saw both team squander a number of opportunities early in the tie and to get a better grip on the game, both teams must attack with conviction from the start, something which was lacking in the first leg.
2. Goals Galore
The first leg resulted in a 1-1 draw, but FC Goa got a number of opportunities to get themselves in a more comfortable position.
The Gaurs are the highest scoring team in the tournament with 43 goals and they rarely miss the opportunity to get on the scoresheet. Chennaiyin know the monumental task they have at hand, and the midfield duo of Dhanpal Ganesh and Bikramjit Singh will have the task of keeping Goa quiet.
1. Advantage Chennaiyin
The 2015 champions have always been one of the most resilient teams in the tournament, and this time, too, they have managed to get themselves in an advantageous position ahead of the second leg.
They scored against the flow of the game back in Goa, and the visitors tonight will have that fear at the back of their head. In front of their own crowd, Chennaiyin have always been phenomenal, let's see what they can come up with, tonight.
