It was a goalless draw when these two met at Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan, three weeks earlier. Tonight, at Old Trafford, there's no place for a stalemate. A goal for Sevilla will tip the tie in their favour while United must be guarded to avoid a massive upset.
In this section, we look at three players for United who could tip the tie in their favour.
3. Nemanja Matic
Sevilla FC, have been the epitome of inconsistency this season. On their day, they can dismantle the biggest of teams, but can also end up conceding five goals in one half itself.
Nemanja Matic, who himself has found it quite difficult to put in a string of good performances on the trot, will have the task of dominating the middle of the park, intercepting dangerous balls. Most importantly, he'll have to win the midfield battle against counterpart Steven N'zonzi.
2. Romelu Lukaku
Marcus Rashford's fantastic brace may have won Manchester United the match against Liverpool, but it was Romelu Lukaku who was pivotal in both the goals.
Ahead of the match, Lukaku talked about the importance of being a complete forward and against Sevilla, he would love to contribute in any way he can. As for Sevilla, they'll have to keep track of his positioning outside of the box as well, making it easier for other players to exploit the space.
1. David de Gea
David de Gea is widely considered as one of the best in the world and for all the right reasons. In the first leg, Sevilla were on the up for a long stretch, and if it weren't for de Gea, the Spanish outfit would've walked into Old Trafford as favourites.
Jose Mourinho will once again need the Spaniard to be at his best to fend off Sevilla and chances are the Portuguese gaffer will not be disappointed.
