Such performances could see them being brought back to their parent clubs. Here, we take a look at six such players who are likely to be recalled by their parent clubs next season.

6. Andreas Pereira - Manchester United

The Brazilian has been with La Liga side Valencia this season and has played regularly for Los Che who currently lie fourth in the league standings. Pereira has stated his wish to become a regular for Manchester United and could be given a chance to prove himself next season if he is recalled.

5. Ruben Loftus-Cheek - Chelsea

Ruben Loftus-Cheek was on the fringes of the Chelsea team last season but was sent out on loan to Crystal Palace at the start of this campaign. The young midfielder impressed for the Eagles in the opening months of the season, leading to an international call-up.

With the likes of Tiemoue Bakayoko and Danny Drinkwater not impressing much, Loftus-Cheek has the chance to establish himself in the Chelsea first team next season.

4. Timothy Fosu-Mensah - Manchester United

Fosu-Mensah made a few appearances for Manchester United over the previous two seasons before spending the current one on loan at Crystal Palace. The Dutch defender has been an impressive presence in the Eagles' defence in the Premier League.

The experience gained by the 20-year-old will do him a world of good as he looks to establish himself as a regular for the Red Devils.

3. Pablo Maffeo - Manchester City

The 20-year-old has been on loan at Girona from Manchester City and in their first ever top flight campaign, Maffeo has played an important role in them being in the reckoning for Europa League qualification.

Naturally a right-back, Maffeo can also play in midfield and is expected to be a part of Pep Guardiola's squad next season.

2. Kurt Zouma - Chelsea

Zouma was sent out on loan to Stoke City last summer but a recall to the Chelsea first team could be on the cards for the French defender, given the Blues' struggles in defence this season.

With Gary Cahill not being the player he was, it would make perfect sense for Antonio Conte to bring back Zouma who has impressed this season for the Potters.

1. Serge Gnabry - Bayern Munich

The former Arsenal winger joined Bayern Munich last summer and was immediately loaned out to Hoffenheim. So far this season, Gnabry has five goals and four assists in the Bundesliga and even found praise from current Bayern boss Jupp Heynckes after scoring against his parent club.

With the futures of veteran stars Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery uncertain, the Bundeliga champions could bring back Gnabry who is rated as one of the best young German players.
