Chelsea forward Eden Hazard has backed new Barcelona signing Philippe Coutinho to succeed at the Nou Camp and suggested that this transfer is definitely the next step in the Brazilian's career.
Coutinho moved to Barcelona from Liverpool in a deal worth €160m thus making him the second most expensive footballer in the world as the Catalan giants hope that the Brazilian will become a permanent heir to Andres Iniesta's place at the club.
Speaking to Corriere dello Sport, Hazard revealed his feelings about Coutinho's transfer and said, "It’s good for him. It's bad for the Premier League because he’s one of the best players in the league."

The Belgian star who himself is being chased by Real Madrid concluded by stating, "He’s (Coutinho is) a good guy. We played against each other a couple of times and he’s a fantastic player. Ok, he chose to move to Barca, it’s not a bad choice to be fair. I just want him to be one of the best in the world and enjoy what he can do.”
Coutinho's deal with Barcelona runs until 2023, and will net him €13.6m a season.
