Former Liverpool great Dietmar Hamann believes Manchester United will have to come up with a "near perfect" performance in order to claim all three points against Pep Guardiola's Manchester City in Sunday's Manchester derby.
Pep Guardiola's team have not lost a game in England since April and are currently eight points ahead of Manchester United at the top of the Premier League.
Hamann, who was impressed with United's win against Arsenal last weekend thinks Mourinho's team have the big-game experience and can upset Manchester City.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Hamann revealed how to beat City as he said, "You have to defend well, you have to take your chances and you must not give them any easy opportunities."
He continued, "I think you have to cut out mistakes, if one team at the moment can beat them I would be looking at Manchester United because in these big games they are usually very stubborn and very hard to break down."
Talking about United's win at the Emirates, the Liverpool great revealed, "They got a great result at Arsenal, where they had probably been outplayed for most of the game and came away with a result."
Revealing that if United drop points on Sunday, the league might as well be decided as he concluded, "It's probably a game United can't afford to lose because otherwise the gap might become too big with the way City is going at the moment. I think it's very hard to make up five or six points, let alone nine or 10."
