Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata has reportedly rejected a huge offer from the Chinese Super League (CSL) in order to stay at Old Trafford claims the Dailymail. The Spaniard's current deal is set to expire at the end of the season and while there have been no talks on extending it, United in all probability will offer him new terms come the end of the campaign.
According to reports, the Red Devils will trigger his extension upto 2019 after the Spaniard turned down an offer from the CSL, who would have improved on his 165,000-a-week wage packet.
The Spaniard who moved to Old Trafford from Chelsea in 2013 has become an integral part of the squad despite fears that he would be shunted out by Mourinho was the person who sold him in the first place.

Mata's teammate Ander Herrera too is in a similar position with his contract set to expire at the end of the summer with the club interested in extending his deal by another 12 months. The Spaniard who was named the Manchester United Player of the Season last year has struggled for gametime since the arrival of Nemanja Matic but with Paul Pogba and Marouane Fellaini both out with long-term injuries, he will get his chance to impress once again when they travel to Anfield to take on Liverpool in a Premier League fixture on Saturday.
