Tottenham Hotspur will take on Borussia Dortmund at the Wembley Stadium in London in Champions League Group H. Here, we look at five things to watch out in the clash.
1. The Managers
This is Maurico Pochettino's second Champions League campaign as manager. He failed to make it out of the group stages with Tottenham last season while this is Peter Bosz's first Champions League campaign as manager.
Both are terrific young managers with lot to proves. Pochettino has already taken Spurs to a second place finish in the premier league and Bosz has taken Ajax to the Europa League final last season.
This will be battle of two world class strikers in today's footballing universe. With Harry Kane finding the net on the weekend and during the international break, he is expected to deliver again.
On the other hand, the Gabonese striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is there make life tough for Spur's defense. Both clubs plays attack minded football, and this game will surely see some fire power.
3. The Revenge
Playing Dortmund involuntarily brings suppressed memories. The two sides met in the 2015-16 Europa League quarterfinals, which Dortmund, won 5-1 on aggregate, thoroughly dominated.
Spurs will be looking to take the revenge of that match and will try to take advantage of Dortmund's shaky form.
Both clubs are known to work and give young guns a chance to show their real talents and achieve their potential. The likes Dele Alli, Eric Dier, Davison Sanchez from Spurs and Christian Pulisic, Dan-Axel Zagadou, Phillip, Weigl, Sancho, Isak are some of the youth talents that may be seen at Wembley to cover for the injuries and suspensions.
5. Wembley Win
Spurs have won only two of their past nine Champions League games (D2 L5). They have also won only one of their three games at Wembley in the competition (L2). They are winless in their opening game of a Champions League group stage (D1 L1).
Could this be the season? We can only wait and watch.
