Barcelona have seen a third offer for Guangzhou Evergrande's Paulinho rejected by the Chinese side, in a further blow to their transfer plans. The Catalan giants have been unable to land their top targets this summer and have now seen another bid rejected by Guangzhou who are adamant that Paulinho will not be sold.

According to Goal, Barcelona's latest bid of €25m has been rejected by the Chinese Super League side who are competing in three competitions and are unwilling to let the Brazil international leave this summer.

Luis Felipe Scolari's side have already rejected two bids from Barcelona and having rejected another bid, have made it clear that the player is not for sale, despite Paulinho's desire to join the European giants.

According to the report, a source close to the club said, “There is no sign of Liu Yongzhuo or [club owner] Xu Jiayin changing their stance. They have no intention of selling a player who is hugely important to the success of this club."

Barcelona are no closer to landing their main transfer targets and this puts yet another dent in their aspirations to regain the league title and the Champions League next season.

The 29-year-old has made 95 appearances for the Chinese side since joining them from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer of 2015 and has helped the side win two league titles and one AFC Champions League title.
