Manchester United are on the cusp of striking a deal with Inter Milan for their third major signing of the summer transfer window as Ivan Perisic inches closer to securing his dream move to Old Trafford.
The 28-year-old Croatian winger has been one of manager Jose Mourinho's primary transfer targets and both clubs have been rigorously negotiating a transfer price for the player. Inter are said to be adamant on their £48m price-tag for Perisic and are also trying to force Manchester United into the transfer of Anthony Martial to San Siro as part of the deal.
Additionally, Sky Sports report that the Italian giants are now in advanced talks with Lazio for signing Keita Balde in order to roll out Perisic's move to Old Trafford in the smoothest manner possible. The report also says that Perisic was given permission to leave Inter's training camp to see a trusted dentist as a result of a toothache.
Reports from across Italy via Calciomercato claim that there have been rigorous communication between Perisic's agent Fali Ramadani and Manchester United in the past few days as the Red Devils intend to close the deal in the next 24 hours.
Perisic made 55 appearances for club and country last season, scoring 16 goals while assisting another 10 and was one of the best players for Inter who endured one of their worst seasons in the Serie A as they finished seventh in the league standings.
